Just seeing a picture overwhelms you with the fear they aren’t sitting on your bed beside you. Even worse is seeing them in unfamiliar settings, unable to place yourself beside them. It’s a feeling more powerful than addiction, or dependency. It eats you from the inside, you become weak and lose all dexterity. Temperature is irrelevant, hot or cold neither seems to have affect. You hear a hum in the background, blocking out the sounds of the world around you. Things are moving faster around you, spinning faster and faster out of control.
